Sicilian Dragon — defence for Black

More Dragon for Black: the Yugoslav Attack with 9.Bc4, the 9.O-O-O d5 strike and the 9.g4 Be6 setup, plus the quieter Classical, Levenfish, fianchetto and 6.Bc4 systems. 8 lines for Black: Yugoslav 9.Bc4 ...Nc4, Yugoslav 9.O-O-O d5, Yugoslav 9.g4 Be6, Classical 6.Be2, Levenfish 6.f4, Fianchetto 6.g3, 6.Bc4 with h3, Yugoslav ...Nxd4 and ...b5.

Popularity rank #47 of 64 · Endgame Pro defence · against Open Sicilian

Black's pawns on d6, e7, f7 and g6 shield a fianchettoed bishop, with the half-open c-file for counterplay. White keeps the d-file and the e4 pawn and often throws the g- and h-pawns forward.

Watch out: In opposite-castling races a single wasted move decides. Know which side is faster, and never allow h4-h5 and Bh6 without a counter-blow on the queenside.

A chess trainer that remembers what you missed

Most games between club players are decided by a short tactic — a fork you didn't see, a pin you walked into, a back rank you forgot to air out. Endgame closes the loop: learn the pattern on the Path, use it against a bot, get graded, and drill the miss until it sticks.
