Popularity rank #43 of 64 · Endgame Pro defence · against 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e5

When Black wins the pawn back, White has a pawn on c4 against Black's knight on e5. The d-file is half-open, and Black has easy development.

Watch out: Black's queen and bishop can come out quickly, but so can White's if Black chases the pawn too slowly. Win back e5 before starting other plans.

A chess trainer that remembers what you missed

Most games between club players are decided by a short tactic — a fork you didn't see, a pin you walked into, a back rank you forgot to air out. Endgame closes the loop: learn the pattern on the Path, use it against a bot, get graded, and drill the miss until it sticks.
